![]() The announcement was also accompanied by the release of the aforementioned, previously-unheard “If You Say the Word”. The black fingernails indicate that the hands belong to Chieftan Mews, a character who has appeared in several of Radiohead’s promotional videos and social media posts. Having been teased since 2019, the compilation was eventually announced through a cryptic video which featured a pair of hands clumsily taping together CD copies of the two albums to the soundtrack of Amnesiac’s “Packt Like Sardines in a Crushd Tin Box”, perhaps referring to how Kid A and Amnesiac are being similarly “packed” together. Unlike the 20th anniversary reissue of OK Computer from 2017, KID A MNESIA’s bonus disc does not feature any of the B-sides from the era. The reissue contains the two original albums, in addition to Kid Amnesiae, a collection of demos and unreleased tracks including the mysterious “C-minor song”, released here as “If You Say the Word”. Though they were released separately in 20 respectively, Kid A and Amnesiac were conceived in the same recording sessions and marked the band’s abrupt left turn from guitar-based alternative rock to more experimental and electronic music. There are a number of branching paths where you can get lost, although the exhibit does have a beginning and an end. Plus the visuals give a sense of realism while walking through the exhibit. The spatial audio on the PS5 is stunning. Each room is interesting, and it feels like you are on a tour through a trippy art exhibit. Everything In Its Right Placeįor fans of Radiohead, the Kid A Mnesia Exhibition is a delightful trip. The exhibition takes Radiohead fans through a series of rooms and doors, while samples and loops from the album’s tracks blast over subtle background noises. The release comes alongside the Kid A Mnesia three-disc re-issue of the two iconic alternative rock albums. The download can be accessed from both the PlayStation Store and the Epic Games Store. The Kid A Mnesia Exhibition was released as a free download on November 18th. As Epic Games,, and Arbitrarily Good Productions would bring a playable version to PC and PlayStation 5. In the following months, the exhibition would find new life digitally. The doomed Kid A Mnesia Exhibition would eventually be canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
